The TOTALCOOL Story
In the summer of 2015, longtime friends James Burt and Adam Drinkwater, decided to put their passion for caravanning and boating to good use by creating a well-designed, British-built evaporative cooling system which was energy-efficient, portable, and affordable. The TOTALCOOL 3000
Made to be easy to use, the TOTALCOOL 3000 portable air cooler is the very latest in ergonomic design and evaporative cooling technology. A refrigerated air conditioning system requires 240 volts of electricity and has many complex, expensive, permanently fitted parts such as a compressor, condenser, and evaporator, plus refrigerant gas to cool air. Evaporative cooling units can differ in performance depending on conditions such as ambient temperature and humidity, but test results show that TOTALCOOL can deliver air temperatures up to 45% cooler (at the vent) than the ambient air temperature just by using tap water at room temperature. Test results taken on a 40 C day with humidity at 12% showed a vent temperature of a cool 21 C.
With special bacteria resistant plastic and a biodegradable filter, the TOTALCOOL 3000 was designed to be clean and eco-conscious. It can be used anywhere you need it as long as you can open a door, window or vent to give it some fresh air. It can run off of 12 or 24 volt DC power or 100-240 AC mains power, and its fans can blow at 4 different speed settings, from a quiet LOW to a chilly BOOST. Pour 1.5 litres of water in through the lid, plug the power lead into your cigarette socket, select your desired fan speed, and enjoy comfortable motorhome living.
